GHANA DONATES AID TO PALESTINE

The President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama on 1st August, 2025 donated 40 metric tonnes of humanitarian aid to the State of Palestine in an event held at Jubilee House in Accra.  Present at the event were Senior Government officials including the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Honourable Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa (MP) who delivered the welcome remarks. 

The aid comprises assorted premium Made-in-Ghana Golden Tree cocoa products from the Cocoa Processing Company Limited.The gesture is to support efforts to provide assistance to the civilian population who find themselves in dire humanitarian situation due to the ongoing conflict which has denied them access to basic necessities of life. His Excellency the President in his remarks denounced the loss of human life and displacement of people with its attendant challenges. In this regard, he called for peace, humanitarian access, protection of civilian population and respect for international humanitarian law. 

The donation was received by the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Ghana, His Excellency Abdalafatah A. K. Alsattari.  He expressed appreciation to the Government and the People of Ghana for the donation.
