On November 11, 2025, the Ghana Embassy in Beijing, China, headed by His Excellency Kojo Bonsu, the newly appointed Ambassador, was invited to the “Pulse of Technology, New Look of Culture and Tourism” event, organised by the Bureau of International Exchange and Cooperation of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People’s Republic of China. This event was a half-day tour that took guests, consisting of other Embassies to several innovative centers in Beijing, showcasing China’s advancements in technology, culture, and tourism.The tour began at the Zhongguancun National Innovation Demonstration Zone Exhibition Center, a hub for technological innovation and development in China. This center showcases cutting-edge technologies in fields such as artificial intelligence, robotics, and renewable energy. Guests were impressed by the innovative solutions on display and saw potential opportunities for collaboration in areas such as agricultural research and digitalisation of cultural heritage.The next stop was the Three Hills Five Gardens Art Center, a cultural hub that showcases China’s rich artistic heritage. The center features stunning gardens and art galleries, a potential ground to learn from China’s experience in preserving and promoting cultural heritage sites.The guests also visited the Liyard Global Technology Experience Center, which features
state-of-the-art technology and innovative products. One area of interest was the LED screen advancements, which have numerous applications in advertising, entertainment, and video gaming animation. These enormous screens are also used in stadiums and concerts, providing an immersive experience for audiences. This leverage in technology enhances the entertainment and advertising industry.China’s advanced medical technology was also showcased, with potential applications in Ghana’s healthcare sector. Some areas of interest include:- Telemedicine: China’s experience in telemedicine can help Ghana improve healthcare access in rural areas.- Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare: China’s AI-powered diagnostic tools can be used to improve diagnosis accuracy and treatment outcomes..- Medical Research: China’s advancements in medical research can lead to new treatments and cures for diseases prevalent in Ghana.The tour concluded with the ceremony of the ‘2025 Chinese Culture Tour for Consular Officials of Foreign Embassies in China’. This event aimed to promote cultural exchange and understanding between China and other countries.
