President John Dramani Mahama will on Tuesday conduct a groundbreaking ceremony for the commencement of construction works on the dualisation of the Takoradi-Cape Coast highway.

This will form part of activities during the President’s one-day working visit to the Western region.

The project, captured under the ‘Big Push’, initiative, is one of the thirty-two major roads listed in the 2025 mid-year budget review. The long-awaited expansion of the corridor forms part of government’s broader national agenda to revamp infrastructure and stimulate economic growth to attract the needed investment for jobs and development of the country.

President Mahama is expected to inspect ongoing expansion, and renovation works at the Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital and the Western Regional Hospital.
